Many of you are no doubt familiar with The Independent, the progressive, independent news outlet in Newfoundland and Labrador.
As the name suggests, this trailblazing media outlet is run independently of any major corporations, an all too uncommon occurrence in today’s media landscape.
One of the ways The Independent stays in operation is by hosting fundraising events.
The Independent will be hosting a Trivia Night on April 20, complete with prizes, snacks (for purchase) and bragging rights for the winners!
WHAT: The Independent Trivia Night Fundraiser
WHEN: Saturday, April 20
TIME: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE: The Lantern – 35 Barnes Rd, St. John’s
Tickets can be purchased through Evenbrite and cost $30 for individuals or $150 for a team of 6.
