October 4 serves to commemorate the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirited persons (MMIWG2S), and to extend our heartfelt solidarity to their families. It is a day of action, to make the voices for truth, justice, and reconciliation heard across the country.
This year, Unifor will once again participate in the Tears to Hope Relay. This fundraising initiative supports Tears to Hope Society, an Indigenous-led organization primarily focused on supporting the families and loved ones of MMIWG2S, raising awareness, and promoting prevention.
