Membership Bulletin Local 410 Elections: Nominations Open

Members are advised that the nominations are now open for the following position and terms of office: 

Executive Officer for the following position Three-Year Term (January 1, 2027- December 31, 2029)

  • Secretary/ Treasurer

Regional Representatives (Executive Position) for the following Regions: Two-Year Term (January 1, 2027- December 31, 2028) 

  • Labrador Region 
  • Central Region

Unit Chairpersons for the following Units - Two-Year Term (January 1, 2027- December 31, 2028)

  • Gander 
  • Grand Falls-Windsor 

Unit Chairpersons for the following Units  - One Year Term- Bi-Election (January 1, 2027- December 31, 2027) 

  • St. John's/Mt Pearl 
  • Marystown 
  • Corner Brook 
  • Port Aux Basques 
  • Stephenville 

Women’s Member At Large (Executive Position) Two-Year Term (January 1, 2027- December 31, 2028)

Any member of Local 410 in good standing may nominate any other member in good standing for the offices of Secretary/Treasurer, Regional Representative and the Women’s Member At Large. Any member in good standing may nominate any other member in good standing within their own Unit for Unit Chair position. 

Nominations will be open from September 4th, 2026, closing 5:00pm September 15,2026. If an election is required as a result of the nomination process, the Local Elections committee will conduct an election using online voting system. Voting will be conducted from September 16, 2026, closing October 7th at noon (12:00pm). The results will be released the afternoon of October 7th, 2026. 

All nomination forms must include the name and signature of both the nominator and the nominee, and the position for which the nominee is being nominated on the form below.

Members: Please note - our current bylaws state the offices are for a two-year term but as presented in the Spring 2026 Bylaw Amendments, the full-term positions (not applicable for bi-elected terms) will increase to 3 years if Unifor National returns them as approved. Therefore, for offices stating as ending December 31, 2028, would therefore end in December 2029. Any subsequent elections would follow the same timelines for 3-year terms.
