To the membership of Local 410:
Over the weekend we watched as the residents of our province endured one of the most horrid storms. The affects will be felt for a long time to come. Considering these disastrous events, Bell has offered to make collections of donations to be distributed to the residents of those areas as soon as possible. Understanding this is a company initiative, we wanted to ensure our membership of the greater St. John’s area was made aware of this and the possibility to make donations of the following requested items:
Toiletries
School supplies
Laundry detergent
Clothing non-perishable food items
New underwear & socks
Hats
Warm clothes
Mittens
These items may be dropped off at Mount Pearl Square or Donovan’s work centres and should be made by Friday Sept 30, 2022, between 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. Any further questions, please reach out to your manager.
Additionally, Unifor Local 410 will be donating to the Canadian Red Cross to contribute to the aid being provided to the affected citizens and communities.
Our thoughts are with all those affected for a safe and speedy restoration.
